For the last month or so, whenever I put any disk in my 3.5 floppy drive, there's an error that comes up reading 'The disk in drive A is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?' This has been happening to every disk that I have tried, and I was just wondering if there's any way I could fix it without having to get a new drive installed.
Please let me know.
Thanks

Howdy,
Most likely it is either that the drive is dirty or there is a problem with it. You can try cleaning it by blowing compressed air carefully into it. Otherwise you'll have to replace the drive. Fortunately they are easy to buy and install, and relatively inexpensive. Good luck.
