scratch disk full

Can some one tell me a quick way to clean up the scratch area? I can this error when minipulating scan files.
Next can someone tell me where the temp files are located so I can clean these up?

sorry cant help u out with the the scratch but i would just go to start button choose find files or folders it brings you to a search of the c: drive type in temp or temporary that should work then just pick and choose from the list......... oryou can type in *.tmp

woah nellie, who what when where why....

This is kinda vague. Please tell us what peice of equipment is scratched, what exactly the problem it is causing, and as for the temp files, are we talking windows 95/98 temp files??? it is in c:\windows\temp directory. Please, give more information.
