I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 440 while using Toshiba's diskette to reset laptop to original factory settings there were problems. Scandisk ended up running and I opted to fix the problems without saving to disk. Then when it tried to reboot I couldn't. My laptop won't see C drive. I've tried booting on A drive and trying to run fdisk and just about everything else but it just can't find c drive. What do I need to do to find my harddrive. C just doesn't exist. PLEASE HELP ME!

Check the BIOS and make sure the hard drive parameters are correct, if they are, and fdisk says "No hard disk found" and trying to change to C in DOS says "Invalid drive Specification" I'd say chances are the hard drive is dead.
