I am not sure what your question is, especially about a 2.5 connection. Perhaps you can provide more details. You may write to me in Spanish, if you prefer, at the adddress below.

You can get adapters to do this, I know where to find them in the US, but in your part of the world, I have no idea.

CSO (http://www.computersurplusoutlet.com) often has them. Pricewatch (http://www.pricewatch.com) might have something from outside the US, I'm not sure.

You might also check with local computer shops, they might be able to help you locate one.

If you had everything...Where would you put it?

The taut one below is original Spanish, the translator is what doesn't work
I live in Uruguay, and here I cannot acquire adapters of this type for that it is not necessary simply to sell, that we make it is to build them, I have already seen them in other computers hair it doesn't copy them.
It is to place a hard disk IDE of 3,5 inches in the connection of a NOTEBOOK (that originally takes a disk of 2,5 inches), I believe that the connection that you/they use the disks of the NOTEBOOK is TAT4.
Or in another way a place in Internet that shows the diagram (outline) of the connections it TIES
Thank you for the attention.

I found a diagram in the following link. I have not found any other information to confirm its accuracy.
http://sunsite.org.uk/usenet/news-faqs/comp.sys.laptops/Compaq_Contura_Aero_Frequently_Asked_Questions

The 2,5"-drive connector has 44pins, this is 4 more than the AT-Bus. They
can be connected by using an adaptor.

I first thought they were counted one row down and the other row up, but
as I found out the standard way is like this:

1 o o 2
3 o o 4
. . . .

. . . .
39 o o 40

so the pin table has to be:

44pin: 40pin:

1 - 40 1 - 40

41, 42 +5V (red)

43 GND (black)

44 N.C. / Jumper??
