View Full Version : raid 5 disk replacement w/ntservr 4.0

HELP! have ntserver 4.0 sp6, raid 5 using 3 wd 4.3GB 7200rpm 68pin with adaptec 2940uw controller. Not hot swapable. One wd drive died. Can only find a Seagate 9.1GB 7200rpm 68pin. Plan to replace TODAY. Any advice? Will this work? THANKS!

IT is supposed to work, but that new hard drive you will be able to fdisk it to have a 4.3 gig partition as part of the raid set, and also you should be able to have the rest of the space as a separate drive letter. I would have to do some investigating to see exactly how to set it up, but i know it is supposed to work (according to microsoft).
