No boot after scandisk

I left my computer to defrag the other nite. When I returned the next day, the crt was frozen at 50% of scandisk. Hard drive was not turning. I then tried a re boot. Now hard drive does not spin, a: diskette drive does not spin, crt shows nothing. Did the drive or controller burn up? The power supply is working. I can not boot. Help.

Need mo info. any lights, beeps,grinding noises etc...
ANy chance a cable came off from pwer supply to mobo?
Unplug.Follow antistatic precautions etc...and check double check all connections, cards etc
