Drive won't work in Windows

Hi Narcissus with the dodgey drive here again. Thanks to those who suggested turning my cable around, it worked EXCEPT.

My floppy drive will not work in windows 98 only when i press F8 and use MS-Dos prompt only.

Can anyone help me?

You might try booting into Safe Mode and removing it from Device Manager, remove ALL floppy drives shown, reboot and let Windows find and reinstall it.

Any other suggestions?
