When i installed a hp cd-writer 9150i, my floppy disk drive stopped working. Clicking on its icon, i got a message that it was unstable, or it just did not respond at all. I already had a dvd cd rom installed, this and the cd writer are working fine. The cables are connected on the back of the floppy drive, i've even tried a new floppy drive, no success. i've looked in bios setup, but what should i look for?, it says floppy drive is enabled. I've read that the main problems that occur with floppy drives are that the drive itself is faulty(does'nt seem so here, because i've tried a new one) or its not configued properly, anyone know how i can check?

I have almost the same problem. I installed the HP CD-writer Plus 9310i and now I can't hear my audio cd's that are played on my CD-ROM but I can hear the music if I use headphones. HP could no fix the problem and stated that I must have a bad cd player (not so). The CD-RW is configured to be the slave and the CD-ROM the master, this according to HP and the manual.

If some kind soul can help us with our problems, we would be eternally grateful.
