need help

New to computors.I have a problem with start up. My computor locks up after it detects the mouse and keyboard. Nothing happens even if I press the F1 key. Need help to solve my problem.

Need quite a bit more info before digestion can begin. Operating System, how long have you been using the pc before problem occurred, have you made any changes or installed/removed anything lately, have you had the case off recently or moved the pc?
