Ok braincramp here. Can anyone tell me if its normal to have more then one autoexec file? Should I consolidate them into one file? Will this solve my slow boots? I have about 5 occurences of the file. Anyone see any problems with deleting them all? Running W98se. Have a SB live Card, do I need the SB16 emulator Dos file in my autoexec? So many questions so little time.
Thanks

The only one that will run is "autoexec.bat". There may be others with different extensions. Those are from program installations that created a backup before modfying the original.

If you are not running DOS games, then you probably do not need to load the emulator. The safe approach is to edit the file and put REM_ (where _ is a space) in front of the command.
