    Unhappy Hard drive HELP!!!!

I have a partitioned fat 16 HDD running on NT4, the second partition is used to store temp images of other HDDs while they are been upgraded however during a lunch break the disk has either died or been Fdisked as when I click on the drive I get an error saying could not read.

I NEED to get this data back how do I recreate the partition, is it as simple as back into FDISK, and if so how ill I then get the data back.

    Please Help, Anyone, Someone.

    Questions--

Is the drive actually running? (not powered down)

How many partitions do you have?

You cannot read the drive at all or only the partition with your
    temp images?

    Hello Skhips,
You can use the Fdisk utility to view partition info (selection 4, first screen), but if you repartition this disk, you will loose all data. See what the partition in question looks like in NT>disk manager. That should give some info as to what is wrong if the problem is detectable.
In your second post you say "2 hdd's" but you show the 3 partitions on 1.
What exactly do you mean by "Upgrade"?
Please clearafy exactly what you have and what has been done to all and I am sure we can help.
Lets hope you don't have to take this disk in to be read as that is some bucks

Only if you want to spend upto several hundred US dollars for it, there is now no easy way to recover it. THere are several utilities that can be downloaded, don't have any lnks handy but a search on Google will turn them up, or go to a data recovery company...but after a format the success rate is pretty low.
