    Post UW SCSI LVD HDD

I had an adaptec uw controller(2940uw) and two ibm 4.5gb uw lvd hard drives. Can I connect those two drives to my controller with just a normal scsi cable, or I need to get a lvd cable?

Hi TJ, Welcome to the Forum

This just happens to be a subject that I have recently studied so I should be able to give you a straight answer but unfortunately I think I need a refresher myself

Anyway I'll point you towards the section on SCSI's from this very site The PC Guide. This section will definitely answer your questions and more.

I recommend you read the whole section as it is good reading.

Thanks for the question as it has prompted me to have a much needed look at the whole subject again.

    Hope this helps

    Edit: oops! forgot the link
