digicom 3656a modem issue

I have recently been given the aforementioned modem. I can not get my computer to recognize it in the more info function. I've manually removed and re attached it several times as well as removed and installed it withing Windows ME. Is there a string or a trick out there that anyone else may know about with this particular model? It was also sold as a Modem Blaster from Creative.

Do you have and older PC with a modem already living in it? Sometimes the older one's like to left in the slot and new one installed elsewhere and disabling the older one via software (COM port?).

Also you mentioned ME, have you checked for a driver update for the modem? Because usually the drivers are similar for Win9x and ME but sometimes the installation routines on the older drivers don't recognize ME as a valid operating system and ME sometimes doesn't recognize the drivers.
