Question Faulty bubble jet cartridge nozzle

When Nozzle testing a canon bubblejet cartridge I see some parts of the grid that is printed missing. After installing another cartridge it prints OK. Conclusion? The first cartridge's nozzle is faulty. Are nozzles fixable? Can they be cleaned so they work OK? Or is it a case of (sweat, sweat) buy a new one?

You can gently clean the nozzles with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip, that should remove any dried up residue, then if the cartridge won't print, blow through it from the top into a paper towel, and see if that helps.

I also saw somewhere in another post that you can soak it in water or maybe a wet paper towel overnight. I'll try to locate the post later, have to go very soon...
