Windows password request keeps appearing

I use WIN 98 1st version. I recently deleted the pw's in my *pwl file and erased all passwords. Now Windows upon booting asks for the NEW pw and even if I leave that field blank continues to ask me for the password on next re-boot. How can I stop this request?

Type in a name, or use the default, without putting anything in the password field and click OK. That should stop it. Clicking the X at top just closes it, but it comes back every time. Clicking OK with an empty password field tells Windows to use no password.

go to network settings and make sure your primary network logon is not on
"client for microsoft networks" if it is switch it to "windows logon". now its going to prompt u to restart. when windows prompts u for a password leave it blank and click on "ok"
