    Exclamation Hotbot/Lycos on web browser

Whenever i use these search engines and type in a subject the other subjects starting with the same first letters scroll down. A question: why and how does it happen...and can you disable it? it is annoying becuase i have simply too many subjects on the scroll bar...

Go into Internet Options under Tools in the menu bar, and click the Advanced tab. Uncheck the box for Inline Auto Complete. That should do it.

By the way I'm going to delete your other topic, It's more appropriate here and the I didn't understand the question there either.

    Which browser are you using?

Some tie those items into the history folder so if you clear the history that should do it too.

    Hope this will help...

You have to scroll down to it, it's in the second section, toward the bottom. I can't fit everything in from the top, so it might be a bit difficult, but maybe you can tell by the placement of the lines. This is IE 5.01 by the way...

It's the 7th and 8th lines in this picture, my mouse cursor didn't show up in the screenshot.

    It's boxes 23 & 24, including the 3 circles, in IE 5.01.

To find out what version of IE you have click Help in the menu bar, then About.
