    Post McAfee Viruscan 5.0

Has anyone run across the issue with Viruscan NOT changing the NAG screen saying "You haven't run Viruscan in 114 days." I recall someone had me fix that problem with ViruScan 4.0, but the lesson is long forgotten.

I have tried every which way to run Viruscan to update the NAG screen. I run a scheduled scan every 7 days and update my DAT files at least monthly. I hope someone can enlighten me on fixing this irritating issue.

    Thanks,

    Jan

    yes, same thing here.

but I don't worry about that, I have mcafee and Innoculate and update BOTH weekly.

As long as when you boot up, it lists the DAT engine as the most current one updated just ignore it. Mine says July 27th 2000- (the first day I ever ran it on this machine when it was brand new)

kinda makes you wonder- though, if they messed up writing that part of the software- what else did they make a 'mistake' on ??

they NEVER seem to mess up on their BILLING- area
