    Post SmartDoctor won't run

I’m not able to run SmartDoctar at start up any more. I get an error message “no monitor IC detected on your VGA card”. I tried to reinstall it but I get an error message”this program isn’t consistent with current VGA card”. It did give a warning message last night that the fan was running too slow. I shut down then rebooted and everything was ok.

Everything is still running fine..Opened the case and checked the fan and it seems to be running fine. The last program installed 2 days ago was Boot Magic. I have it disabled.
    What is IC?

ok found out what IC is.
    1. Short for Integrated circuit, IC is a package containing many circuits and pathways working together to perform a particular function or a series of functions. Integrated circuits are the building blocks of computer hardware.
Is this looking more like a problem with the card and not with software?

Ok this morning I boot up my computer and SmartDoctor is working again. I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning trying to figure out what was wrong and poof all the sudden it's better? Maybe my AGP card is starting to go south and has a short or the motherboard is at fault or maybe I should stop being so parionoid. Yea I'm the type of persion who gets a cold and thinks it's the plague. Oh well. I do know what IC means now.

Don't feel alone, setoguro . I think almost all of us still get a "cold, scary" feeling in our tummies when confronted with computer error screens. I have managed to get to a stage where a BSOD no longer PANICS me, but it still spooks me.

As for the other..we need one of our techs to check in. Maybe you do have something going out. Every once in a long while, though, I will get a BSOD on bootup but then everything works normally after reboot. I don't really have any idea why..we replaced the power supply (just in case)..and my current feeble "theory" is that sometimes I don't hit the Power button "correctly."
