If they both have a primary(bootable) partition and an O/S installed, then you should be ok. The only item you may have to install is 3rd party software to enable you to select which HD you want to boot from.
I currently have two HD'S on my system. Both are 8.4 gigs, one a WD, is drive C, an IBM, drive D. I use Win98SE. One is setup as master, the other as slave. My question is this...I want to use each drive independently of each other and want to be able to access one or the other when the mood strikes. Yes, both would end up being identical to each other and thats fine but are they configured properly to that?

What 3rd party software would you recommend?

If you want to try a free version, go to www.google.com, type in "boot manager"(with the "), and look around.
