This isn't a life threatening problem but it really P's me off. When I try to change the S/Saver in properties it woks fine in preview but constantly defaults to the same one ( Jungle which I hate ). Only new program is a new anti virus which I've disabled to no effect. Thanks in advance.

Done all that Blue, its never happened before. I probably change every couple of days.
Any time I get odd behavior like this on my system, I figure it is time for a thorough virus and spyware scan. I can't think of anything that would cause this if you are setting up the screen saver properly, but spyware will sometimes do odd things like this. If you haven't run a scan lately, it might be a good idea to do so.

Thanks Budfred but I've done that both before and after, I can open properties change the saver, close properties, reopen straight away and its already defaulted back to the original. It's not a massive problem but it is annoying !
Did you scan for spyware and, if so, what did you use? A lot of people lately have found when they use AdAware and then try Spybot, they find a bunch of stuff that AdAware missed.
Budfred
Used Adaware getting Spybot now, I'll post back after I've tried it.Thanks
I didn't think to give you the link before, so here it is in case you have trouble finding it:

This is mjc's list of links to a bunch of security stuff.

Spybot found 120 entries that didn't show up on Adaware, so thanks for that, hasn't solved original problem but I haven't re-booted yet.
Still happening folks, any more ideas please ?
What windows are you running??
Sounds to me as if you have a Group Policy Object that is blocking access to your screen saver? Are you using a password for the screensaver?? Just grabbing at straws here

Do a search on your system for the system.ini file and disable the "read only" option.
