"regsvr32 msi.dll" without the quotes and click on OK. Then in the same box, type "sfc /scannow", again without the quotes, and click on OK. Hope this helps.

Windows Installer
I am getting an error with the follow9ing description when i try to install any s/w from a CD ROM in my Windows 2000 system.
"Cannot find Windows Installer.Either Windows is operating in the safe mode or Windows Installer is not properly installed.Contact Customer Support for assistance."
pls advise me on what to do further. The software i tried to install is "Microsoft PictureIt!"
