    Question On Install Xp

I will start the Xp Pro install on to my C: drive HDD one partition; {Using the complete HDD] This install is the Full Ver Pro Xp.
I have read your article and have visit the Viper Site on the "How To"
My system is capable of Xp pro with at least 512 Ram.
Presently my prep for the Install consisted of the following:
    1. I just finished Zero filling my 60g HDD which is the master.
    2. I also eliminated my slave OS and formated it as a Fat 32.
    3. I plan to complete the install Xp first to of course the master C: drive.
From what I have read is that you suggest to eliminate my Slave drive even though this is a complete separate HDD on 2nd IDE controller?
Should I zero fill this slave drive?
Or really play it safe zero fill and unhook it then boot up a few times to make sure nothing is on the MBR?
I rather like too query all the info before I run into the glitches.
A few problems I recognized and would like to confirm, it seems in some installs of Xp that the modem is not recognized. Would it be better to take out the modem Install the OS and after all done install the modem let xp configure and ask for the drivers of which I have?
Also the video card disk drivers etc should this be a problem with Xp after it is installed?
    Thank you for your info>>

    Last one first...

The less hardware the install has to deal with, the quicker and less chance for errors, usually...so if you feel comfortable removing the modem go ahead, but it isn't really need if you have a fairly modern one.

As for the other drive...you may want to read over what Paul has written here.
