Angry Memory Problem on Jetway v.656VXD M3.4

I have a Jetway v.656VXD M3.4 motherboard with a Pentium 200Mhz MMX processor. It had 2 x 16MB 72 pin 32 bit 60ns EDO SIMM's installed when bought. I wanted to upgrade memory so I purchased 2 x 64MB 72 pin 32 bit 60ns EDO SIMMs. The problem is, no matter what I do, it won't recognize them as 64MB modules. I have run Belarc Advisor and the Memory keeps coming up as 4 x 16MB modules. Might it be a Bios problem, it's running the original Award Time 4.51PG 1997 version. Is it possible to flash this Bios? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well, there are a couple of problems....

First is that board uses an Intel 430 chipset. That chipset is notorious for memory problems, especially when going beyond 64MB.

Second, the density of your RAM is probably different that what the board needs.
