    "blank" homepage hijacked by msn?

Despite the fact that I have applied a “blank” homepage, for the past week or so www.msn.com keeps appearing as my homepage once I have switched from AOL to Internet Explorer which I find most annoying. Why and how did this happen and how can I prevent it?

Do you use Adaware? And if so have you downloaded the latest reference file, run a scan and had it "fix" everything?
    If so, see thread below:

It's possible that you also have other problems where a full set of scans are in order, (which is always a good idea anyway), but I'm guessing right now that the cause of this particular problem is Adaware. (Just a guess though)

Many thanks, jabarnutcase. It was indeed the latest AdAware reference file. Having followed the instructions my "blank" homepage has now been restored I am happy to say.
