    DVD Burner?

    Hello,
I’m looking to buy a DVD Burner and I have some questions.
    DVD+RW and DVD-RW, what’s the difference?
What is the difference with the plus and minus?

    Have a look here

For a recommendation, I suggest one of these drives. Very good price and excellent quality, on par with higher end writers. Has received great reviews.

I have just bought a LGE drive. The GSA4082B. http://www.lge.com

This writes in +/- and RAM formats. £80.00 in the UK. You get some pretty decent software with it along with a DVD-RAM disk.

I have written to it a couple of times to test it, but never really used it yet.

well, my opinion is that even though the home DVD burnging technology has been out for a few years now, the technology is still iffy, and there are better things to come. I would wait it out a while and wait until there are some faster burn speeds available (15 mins. per hour is not exactly awesome), and they get this multi-format thing straightened out.

There are faster drives coming out shortly, if not already. But as for the format I think this is going to take a while to sort out.
