    HELP comp not reading drives

    i just started my comp today and for some reason it is not reading my D or E drives, the IDE and all the plugs are plugged in and i have light for the roms but they just dont show up under my computer and dont read cds, any ideas

    yes they are i just found out in device manager that it cant load the drivers for either of the cd roms because of code 31 that has to do with another program effecting the drivers, any ideas anyone i already tried reinstalling the driver

    Now what is your operating system since Windows should not need external drivers for a CD-ROM.
