Thread: Laptop question

  1. #1

    Laptop question

Well, I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 that runs at 3 ghz and 512 ram with a 128 ATI mobility radeon 9700 and frankly im not real impressed with it. Its a bit bulky and at times doesnt run that great.

Just wondering, other than alienware does anyone know of some good laptops with decent gaming capabilities.

All though I don't get much opportunity to play games on my laptop cause it's my work PC, I have to say that I was impressed by my HP Pavillion ze4600 abilities. I have run Star Wars Battlefront, Star Wars Jedi Knight 1 & 2, and currently have Fifa 2005 isntalled. The video card doesn't pass the test provided by Fifa but gameplay and graphics are unaffected in my eyes. It's AMD Athlon XP2500+ running at 1.8GHz and 192MB Ram. But, it's several years old. A friend recently purchased the newer Pavilion and he is a game programmer. He has yet to complain about his laptop either.
