    Trojan?

I have a problem in windows xp. A message keeps coming up saying I have registry errors and I need to download and run shareware programs that get rid of registry problems. Since it solicits online shareware programs that are non-microsoft, my good sense tells me this is spyware. I used all kinds of programs like ad-aware and spybot to try and berid of it, but I just don't seem to be able to lick it. It seems to be coming from the process csrss.exe. Is this a trojan? How might I get rid of it?

    Thanks!

Definitely smells like malware. I would suggest running a HijackThis scan and posting a log for the HJT guys. If you don't have HJT, you can get it here: http://www.subratam.org/main/index.p...d=19&Itemid=41

Download it, install it into its own folder. Close other Windoze applications and run a scan and save a log. Paste the log into a post for Budfred and the guys.
