You are describing a high end computer and you are going to have trouble finding that for under a grand...
AlienWare makes good high end computers, so you might want to check them out...
I think I need to buy a new computer.
I may head out tomorrow to pick one up.
I'm curious what you pros think I should pickup.
I'm a heavy gamer.
I do a lot of graphic intensive work, Photoshop etc.
I kind of like AMD chips based from experience over Pentium.
I need at least a gig of Ram. I already have a monster video card.
Any advice?
I don't want to spend more than a grand.

Yes alienware is a great company for gamers. Check out the area 51 3500. Its under 1000$. Also if u are wishing to spend more there is the area 51 5500. It has a dual core prossesor. You can add the extra ram yourself is you would like 1 gb or find a comp that comes with 1 gb. Just check it out and see what you think. www.alienware.com
Hmmm... if you're looking for a pre-built/OEM, I don't know if you'll find what you want at that price. The problem with a pre-built/OEM system is that they're designed to fit into a category. If you find one with 1GB of RAM, it probably also has the fastest CPU and a dedicated vid card and a huge hard drive. I really haven't seen any pre-built/OEM systems with 1GB of RAM that would fit your needs for that price.
Then again, I haven't looked at pre-built/OEM's in awhile.
I guess all I can say is good luck! I won't recommend a pre-built/OEM system because... well... just look at my sticky. You think a company like Compaq or Dell would hire me to design their systems? Enough said.
What do you think of this system?
Powerspec
That's a half decent processor, but you'll have to make sure the motherboard supplied with the system has a compatible slot for your uber graphics card and that the PSU supplied with the system can cope with it/supplies the correct leads. If you build the thing from scratch, you could probably save yourself some money and get yourself a fairly decent system too, though.
