Copying Files From old user profile to new

I have a w/s running XP Pro with a user account on it of an employee who has moved up the ladder into a new position. Her w/s was left behind and a new employee has been hired. I will create a new user profile on the w/s for the new hire. She will need the progs that are under the old profile. I do not want to install them under the new profile. What is the best way to accomplish this? The old profile of course logs into the file server when she logs onto the w/s, and the new hire will have access to the server also. Is it possible to just rename the user profile without causing a problem with the server?

I would think it should be OK. Just try it and see - you can always rename it back.
