    Arrow Looking for Speaker Suggestions/Set-Up

Hey all, I have a brand new M-Audio Revolution 5.1 Surround Sound Card. My question is what speaker system/set-up would you recommend for my new build? The thing is I have already gone over the budget and the Mrs. isn't too well pleased. So a 5 speaker system is OUT. Any 2.1 systems that are decent? I really don't use my rig for listening to my CDs, more for gaming, videop editing, and online surfing/minor gaming. Thanks.

I know that you've already overspent, but do you have any budget at all? Klipsch systems are awesome, but they run about $250. Logitech also offers a few good options for under $100. You can use the free option of a line-level output to your home stereo in the mean time.

Logitech make good 2.1 speakers. I have a set of their R-20 for my laptop. Really like them, and they are quite cheap.

The x-230 series are still pretty cheap too.

I'd go with Logitech, Creative or Altec Lansing for a good price/performance ratio. They all have decent speakers (incl. sub) for about $100 or less. Best thing to do would be to visit a local electronics store and listen to several models, then pick whichever sounds best to you.
