Problems shutting down WXP

Some times when I shut down and I seems to shut down aright then when I come back later I find it is still going, Just went to shut down now and got window saying I could click cancel to go back to windows or click end to shut down but it might lose data.

Thre are something running in background. You should check what's the program by open the task manager, turn it off if it's unnecessary running program. Or you can post a HijackThis log file for your next reply to let other experts check the running program for you.
