how good are prep sites like certmagic.com , hotcerts.com etc in preparing you for real exams . i am looking to study for my mcse and i need experienced ppl assistance in finding the right prep sites

The cert practice sites you ask about do not prepare you enough for the tests on their own. Study the books, have some hands-on and know the material backwards and forwards. Then a few practice test sites to get your mind into the pattern might help.
Brain dump sites only give you answers without the knowledge.
