    password???

    i have a network setup.. I want to make my shared folder password protected on my pc not on the network...... Is it possible and how is it done???

    Either the folder is password protected or it isn't. You can't have it both ways.

    Perhaps if you elaborate on what purpose this would fulfill someone might have a suggestion for you.

    I agree, we need to know more.
    Are you talking about making a file "hidden" on the local PC?

    I want to make it to where it's on the network and available there, but on the local machine the folder is only accessible by myself.

    If you want to make it difficult to see on your PC but accessible to others, move the file to a different PC but keep ownership of the file.
