    Slow internet connection

Usually my internet connection is very fast, (rated 4,000 kb download, 2,000kb upload), but lately it's been very slow, (both Firefox and IE7). Some sites, like Google and the other forums I go to, load normally but others, like this one and image uploading sites, (imageshack, tiny pic, etc.) take extremely long or do not at all, (5+ minutes). Downloads are horrendously slow, they normally are 500kb/s or more, but as an example, I was able to go to Firefox's site and download firefox as an example: The site loads fine, but downloading firefox is about less than 5kb/s and hangs around 15% or so. Videos on Youtube take literally 30 minutes to load a 3 minute video. This is happening on all the computers in the house, so I do not think it's a virus or spyware issue. I have reconnected the cable modem and the router wires.

If it affects all the computers, it is most likely a cable system problem. Do make certain all your cables are tight to all devices to be certain it is not a house install problem. Next step is to call the cable co.

Yep, my dad came home after a week long conference and he pinpointed the router to be the problem. We're using an older Linksys for now, until we get a new router, (with wireless).
