I am thinking about doing my first ever pc build

I think i have got it all right but could someone just check it over and make sure iv got everything right, Thanks Very Much in advance.

Also do you think i am skimping on any areas or overpowering anything? its for light to medium gaming.

ok you can get a few things abit cheaper and there is alot of room for improvement just for a small amount of $$$$$$

you dont need a good PSU but if they goes so does your whole PC. its up to you

well put it this way my OLD PSU blew up and that was a cheap make luckily it was my old PC

YES!!

Never ever ever skimp on your PSU!! It feeds power to every single component in your system! If you get a cr@ppy one, your system will have strange problems, such as instability or crashes during gameplay. There's also the possibility, as George Hallam mentioned, of a cheap PSU blowing itself out and taking a bit of your system with it.

To wit, the PSU I recently bought for my new vid card was this Seasonic 650W. Notice the price - $160 USD! If you're serious about having a solid system for years to come, you have to start by putting quality first. And the PSU should be one of the first components to get that!

also if i was to overclock that cpu would i need improved cooling or would the heatsink handle it???

with stock cooling you can get 10-15% with a good cooler you can get 35-45% i do recommend you OC it but be warned it VOIDS THE WARRANTY AND CAN BURN UP THE CPU IF NOT DONE CORRECT

It is not something that a newbie can do! And it has the very real potential of damaging components, reducing their lifespan, causing instability, and a whole mess of other trouble than merely voiding the CPU's warranty! The official stance on the forums is NO OC'ing, except in the proper section and only after the full disclaimer has been mentioned! If you can't afford to flat-out afford to replace the entire system, you should not OC! It requires a ton of knowledge and precautions that go way beyond picking a 3rd-party CPU HSF unit at random!
