    Hey salt,

You haven't provided quite enough information to give us an idea of the problem. When you say "sudden slowdown and hang". You mean you were playing a game and the game slowed down alot and the system hung? And now, when you reboot everything is slow?

    thanks

    Cool

Next time your system hangs/slows, take a look at your HDD LED on the system case. If your HDD's getting a workout, you may have a RAM/swapfile issue. Or you might try System Monitor to track your CPU usage, etc. Hope that helps you get started.
