Is it turned on. Function and f5 or f8 (looK for the wireless symbol).Toshiba's have a switch on the side but I dont know of any Dells that do.
Hi
I have a Dell D40 laptop running WinXP Pro SP2 that is supposed to have Wi-Fi. There is a Wireless Configuration Utility icon in Control Panel but nothing happens when I double-click on it. I would have expected the laptop to scan for Wi-Fi networks just like my work D610 but it doesn't. Any ideas why? Am I missing something?
Any help is greatly appreciated

When all else fails- find a bigger trash can.
