I recently changed routers, from a Linksys WRT54GX, that had died, to a Linksys WRT54G2. I just used the CD to install and config, because it was easiest for me at the time. After I installed and everything was set up, the network works great, all computers can get online, see each other, get IP's, wireless works, LAN works, all is good. Now when I try to use Internet Explorer (Not my PC, lol), nothing happens, it just has a blank page, I can't open any other pages, and I can't get into any options menus, anything. It's completely FUBAR'd. So I open up cmd, seeing if its the internet not working, connected fine, open up Firefox, loads internet no problem. Hmm. So I download and install IE7, and it works, all good no problems. I get home from work, and now not only does IE7 do the same thing as old IE, blank page, no options menus, now this time I have to ctrl-alt-delete to close the process, but not only that, My Computer, Network Places, Recycle Bin, nothing windows related will load, at all. Computer won't even restart, have to hard shut down. Restart, all is good, but who knows how long that will last. I am just wondering, any way this could have been caused by the install CD for the Linksys? If so, is there any way to fix it? Thanks in advance.
