Looks good to me except I would rather see you get this power supply for only $10 more. With 750w and a single 60A +12v rail it will serve you well as you will probably need to add hard drives over time and it will cover other upgrades as well. For $10 more it's far better to get it now than have to worry about it later when you add a couple hard drives and/or a new video card down the line.

Not sure how CPU intensive the recording program is, but if it is CPU hungry and is made to use 4 cores you might think about going with a quad. Ideally the Q9550, but the Q9300/9400 would be good as well. Of course if you can fit it into your budget.

Don't get me wrong, nothing at all wrong with the E8400. It is a very good CPU. Just thinking about your recording program. But honestly I am not familiar with those types of programs and whether or not they would benefit from a quad.

I know there are a couple members around here that are into that stuff. Mini-me comes to mind. Perhaps he will get wind of the thread and give a comment.

Either way you have already made good choices. Substitute that power supply and you are good to go.

520w spread over three +12v rails is kinda slim for what you are going to use the system for. Particularly in the long run.

Is it too late to cancel the oder? The you can simply order again right away with the better power supply. I have done this before myself when I realized I ordered the wrong thing.

If it's too late to cancel on the web, call them, they may be able to make the change for you. Have the invoice number and both PSU's info ready if you decide to call them.

You can live with it. From all the reviews it is a very solid power supply providing a true 520w. But for $10 more the other is much better and will last you a long time.
