    Post Web sites

    Hi All,

Why is it when I visit some some sites, I can't get off them
    Without closing my browser.
I've got ZA set to block Cookies and Ad's, Would this be
    causing it.

    Thanks,
    kfh.

    It could be possible.
Have you tried setting the Cookies and/or Ad Blocking to off and see if that helps with those web pages?

I went to that site and I was able to access every link.
And I do have Ad Blocking set to High and Cookies set to custom.
Only thing unchecked is session and persistent cookies.

Are you able to ping www.a1petstop.co.uk?

    Ditto KFH.

I SEE what you mean. At the first page you can't back out of it. But on arrival it being the first page of a new window, normally there's no back arrow anyway. But in this case the opening page brings you to the second page like a rerouter and you can't get back to the first but for an instant due to the fact that the rerouted one is already in your TIF's and also you have the cookies for those pages as well.

It looks to be a problem but really isn't.

And they STILL don't have any squeaky toys that I like!!!

Need to open a DOS window and type: ping www.a1petstop.co.uk

It just pings the site to see if you can connect to it.

If that is the case on using the back button, as Fruss Tray Ted said, that is the first page to load up therefor the only page.

Start browsing at: www.a1petstop.co.uk and you'll have better luck.

    Hi kfh
What I discovered in a situation like this was to hit the back arrow (button) twice or three times rapidly and this usually works (without pause in between clicks)

That site uses frames, and probably some Java (at least I can't "view source") on it, probably have used a script to disable certain right click functions, maybe even the back button...would need to reload the page. Sites do this in the name of "protection"...like it is such a cutting edge site that I would want to swipe some of their HTML code...

I just checked it out, can't find a thing that doesn't work, backspace button goes to the previous page, (same as browser's back button) back and forward buttons in browser work fine, page closed just like normal...

Saved the source HTML and mjc is taking a look at it, I couldn't find any javascript that disables anything, and View\Source worked perfect.

The main difference is that I have Java and ActiveX turned off completely, so no javascript they can come up with will affect me...

Just got results from mjc, it has a "frame lock" javascript. Turn java off and you can navigate, turn it on and you're locked into that frame. That means I can go wherever I want on that site with no problems, anyone with Java turned on could be locked in until they close the browser. Only the catalog navigation bar will work.
