Different machines use different keys or combinations. Try the [Esc] key to clear the IBM logo, and you might see a message telling you what key or combination will access the BIOS. Some of the more common ones are:
[Delete] AMI, Award BIOS
[Esc] Toshiba
[F1] Toshiba, Phoenix, Late model PS/1 Value Point and 330's
[F10] when cursor jumps to top right corner- Compaq
[F2] NEC
[Insert] IBM PS/2 with reference partition
[Tab] Emachine
Reset button twice (???) some Dells
[Ctrl]+[Alt] [+] miscellaneous computers
[Ctrl]+[ALt]+[?] some PS/2's
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Enter] Dell
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Esc] AST Advantage, Award, Tandon
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Ins] Zenith, Phoenix
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[S] Phoenix
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Shift]+Num Pad [Del] Olivetti PC Pro
[Ctrl]+[Esc] Misc.
[Ctrl]+[Ins] Some PS/2's when pointer is at top right
[Ctrl]+[S] Phoenix
[Ctrl]+[Shift]+[Esc] Tandon 386
Quite a list, and you still might not find one that will work. The IBM site might also have some info posted that might help.
