    Why do games run so slow

    Hi i have pc with the following specs:
    Amd 8450
    win xp
    1 gb rendition ddr2 667mz
    seagate 500gb sata 7200rpm
    asus m3n78-vm motherboard
    NVIDIA GeForce 8200 (shared)
    500w power supply

    I have tryied to play games from the hard drive like call of duty 4 but the game is very slow how can i make it run faster?

    well, there are several factors that affect game speed.

    One such factor is the number of running processes in the background.

    However, the biggest reason i see is "Geforce 8200"

    That is one of the worst graphic cards on the market.

    to play games at a good speed, you need at least at $150 GPU

    You should think about upgrading the GPU

    Looking to upgrade my PSU to a 650 Watt

    Hmm, I had a GeForce 8400 and it ran COD4 at full speed for me... More RAM will definately help.
