    New gaming PC

    Hey guys,

I have previously made a thread for this back in march, but since then I changed the list of parts I wanted.

Anyways, I finally have enough money to buy a gaming PC, and would like to know if the parts are compatible with eachother:

RAM: Crucial Rendition 1GB 667MHZ (Ill buy 3 of them) (link)

    CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ (link)

HDD: Western Digital SE16 500GB (link)

    DVDRW: Samsung 22X DVD+-RW (link)

Case + PSU: Logisys Black Tower Case + 480W PSU (link)

    GRFX: EVGA E-GEFORCE 9600GSO 512MB (link)

Mobo: ASUS M3N78-VM SLI mATX AM2+ (link)

So, would these parts work together? Also, I noticed the Mobo has integrated graphics, would I still be able to install a dedicated graphics card?

    Thanks
    dimre

Why are you getting 3GB of 667 RAM? Get 1066 RAM or at least 800...
    Lenovo ThinkPad W530 - 3.6GHz i7 Quad Core, 32GB RAM, 2GB NVIDIA K1000M, 7-64 Pro

Everything should work, but your processor is not in stock on that website.

yep, I switched the CPU for the AMD Athlon X2 7750, thanks

Do you think I will need to buy any fans or cooling of any sort, or should that already come with the case?

You'll need a heatsink for the processor. Make sure it's compatible with it.

Stock/OEM heatsinks usually aren't as good as third parties.

meh, i'll keep the OEM one for now, but if I notice that my CPU/PC is getting too hot, i'll pick up a third party heatsink.

That's always my advice unless you plan on heavy overclocking from the get go.
