exit code 24 error

I copied a programme from a 100GB hard dik to dual copy DVD.
I have deleted this programme from the 100GB hard disk and trying to install the programme via the DVD however it installs everything until it gets to the end when it says exit code 24 error please help.

Which program are you trying to install? It's difficult to help diagnose a problem without all the facts at hand.

From where to where (exactly)?

It is rare these days for a copied program to work as intended. Generally one needs to INSTALL a program so that all the references "under the hood" match up and the registry and so forth are properly updated. There is a difference in running a programme such as notepad.exe and installing something like MSOffice. There is no MSOffice installer exe but there is an MSOffice setup/installer file.
