    Post Audio Recording

This doesn't have a lot to do with computers, but I was wondering how to put a WAV file on to a tape.

My tape recorder is connected to my line-out on my sound card. It is also connected to my line in. I can hear music through my speakers when I put in a tape and play it, but I'm not sure how to make music go through the line-out port (line-out is not the speakers, its the recorder)

Please give me any ideas you have
    Thanks
    Joe

It sounds like you've done it right. I've done similiar stuff in the past but my line out goes to my stereo amplifier with the tape deck wired to the amp.

Are you sure that the Windows volume control are set properly?

Yep, it should work fine. When you open main Volume Controls click Options then Properties. PLayback should open by default, check to dsee if you have an option to add a Line Out control, if so, check that box. Click OK and set that level about halfway and go from there. Line out should work fine for recording, it's the right signal strength. Speaker out is a stronger signal, it would work, but you would have to set the main and wave volume levels very low to use it to record to a tape machine.
