which of these parts should i upgrade for better gaming?

So I have a gateway fx6801 desktop. it's a good gaming desktop, plays most every game on high specs but not all will play on ultra or fully maxed like skyrim, the witcher 2, crysis 2 and others. At least they wont play with really smooth performance. I've changed the graphics card in it already, it is now a nvidia geforce gtx 560ti. It has an intel core i7 in it, 3.06 ghz. The hard drive is a regular hdd, not a ssd, though i've heard that doesnt make much of a difference except on load times. I have 9gb of ram, windows 7 64 bit. What should i upgrade so I can play these games at full specs with ultra smooth quality? I feel like i already have a powerhouse comp but don't know much really about hardware so idk. If you need anymore specs info let me know and i will post back. what am i missing? thanks in advance.

That's what I was hoping...and not 1 1GB and 2 4GB sticks...or some other combo.

Because, on paper, it looks like it should be able to handle most things...and if the RAM were badly mismatched and running in 'single' channel mode that could account for some performance loss...
