Post install a EXE file I've downloaded

I have downloaded a game demo, it's an .exe file, when it attempts to install 'itself' it goes to another program installtion file.
    expln:
I downloaded program A- when I try to install it, my computer goes to install program B, that I have already installed.

    Hello KLB and welcome,
You might try deleting "A" and redownloading it, being sure to pick a different folder to download to. It sounds like "A" is associating itself to "B", possibly because of similare location.

Have you done a reboot between installs?

If I'm wrong on that, please let us know and we can go from there.
