Talking Business Technology. Huh??

I recently started looking into going back to school for the it field. A friend of mine suggested that i should check out job corps. He is there currently and absolutely loves it. He is taking Carpentry.

With the way the economy is i really can't afford college and job corps is free, so i decided i would give it a shot, but when i called the administration office in Gadsden (as i live in Al adn its the closest.) They told me all they offered was Business Technology.

Now i have googled the crap out of this with little to no success, and i wanted to ask here. What is this course?? Is it really worth taking if i want to get into the IT field? What kind of job can you get with this education?? i tried asking the admin these questions but she seemed in a rush and gave very very vague answers.

So i was hoping that someone had maybe run into this course before and maybe knew what it in-titled.

I'm currently studying for my A+ cert but i also want to be able to have some experience to go with the certs and was hoping this would put me in the right direction.

As always thanks for the help.

If I remember from my early college days, business technology is more along the lines of business software, Office and the like.
