How Much To Charge To Fix/Update/Clean 12 Laptops

There is is a small business that has 12 laptop Dell 600's and the business contacted me and told me that they want me to do the following:

Clean Inside and outside of all 12 laptops

Install Software which they will provide such as Microsoft Office and Antivirus software

Update everything includingperating system,software,hardware(drivers)

How much should I charge for those services?

I was maybe thinking of about 300$

is that too little or to much?

How long will this take you? If it takes 3 hours, great. If it takes 10, you got ripped. Be more specific about cleaning a laptop?

I would not open the cases on a laptop to remove the dust. You used canned air to gently clean out the fan area. Otherwise, you would need the manual to see how many steps and how may parts you would have to remove to get to the innards of the model in question. I would bet for $300.00 you would be making minimum wage.

Your looking at 4Hrs per machine (Unless you have the space & equiptment to do multiples at one time)?

So about 48 hrs total to do them one at a time.
My price is 50.00 per hr so your talking around 2400.00 Unless you want to work for minimum wage which is kind of dumb especially if you have the qualifacations to do the job!

Off the top of my head I would quote $1000. Roughly $85 a machine, not a bad price considering all they want you to do.

Since they are all laptops I would probably do it for $500-$600 if I could take them home. Space is not really an issue. Make a list of what needs done, make a copy for each machine and check it off as you go so you don't lose your place at each system.

If they want you to come to their place of business then $1000 minimum. Much more if things are so that you can only do one at a time. You could be there for days if that's the case.
